Woodcut printed in colors, 1924, edition unknown but probably about 50 or fewer. 9 x 6 7/8 in. Signed, dated and titled in pencil. This is a fine impression printed on cream Japanese paper. The margins are probably full and untrimmed. The condition is fine. Read was a contemporary of Giles, Seaby, Lee, Urushibara and others who were active with the color woodcut medium during the 1920s-1930s. He produced florals, figurative prints as well as landscapes, and exhibited in England as well as here in America.
